ABOUT

Mission Statement

To foster and facilitate the art and education of dance to children and young adults in our community. To support and encourage participation in National and Regional dance competitions. To provide additional training with professional artists, public performance opportunities, and recognition for excellence in performing arts.

JES SHINER

PRESIDENT

Jes is our newly elected President. She has a daughter, Addy, who is 15 years old and has been with OEM since she was 6. This will be her 8th season on the company team. I love to be crafty in my off time and volunteer when i can with my other children sport/activities. Dance has been my daughters hOEM away from home, her safe place. I look forward to getting to know all of you and welcome to your new hOEM or back.

KRISTIN SZOKE

TREASURER

Kristin is beginning her first year as the new OEM Booster Club Treasurer. She has a daughter, Emma, that is beginning her third year on the mini dance team and who has been dancing since she was 18 months old. She also has a younger son, Chase, who loves playing all sports and occasionally dancing with his big sister. Kristin is a Full Time Accountant and has been working in accounting for over 15 years. She loves spreadsheets! Kristin and her family live in Phoenixville and when not at the studio they enjoy taking family trips and going on adventures.

JEN PACELLI

SECRETARY

Jen is serving her second year in the secretary role. She has two daughters, Maria who is an OEM Mini and Gianna who is a Micro. We have been with OEM since 2019 and started competing the 20-21 season. . Jen and her family live in Collegeville. When not at the studio she loves spending time with family friends and their yellow lab, Nittany. She is very excited to continue to get involved to help give all the girls the opportunity to dance and have fun doing it.

NICOLE ACKER

VICE PRESIDENT & FUNDRAISING CHAIR

Nicole Acker is our newly elected Vice President. She has a daughter, Maddie who is an OEM Mini. They have been with OEM since 2018 and started competing during the  20-21 season. Nicole has provided volunteer support to the booster club previously, running our first virtual wine tasting fundraiser event last year. Prior to joining the OEM booster club board, she served as a board member for the Collegeville Economic Development Corporation and volunteered for the Ursinus Bear2Bear annual silent auction event. Nicole and her family live in Collegeville. When not at the studio she works full time as a Senior Marketing Manager at Vanguard, enjoys spending time with family and friends, and getting on her Peloton when she can find some additional spare time. She is also the chair of fundraising!

Points of Interest: We are a 501(c)(3). No one gets paid. One membership per family. Our year runs August 1 to July 31. Meetings are held monthly. Special meetings can be called. Persons interested in holding an office need to be nominated. If more than one nomination for an office, a vote needs to be done by written ballot. An officer can resign at any time. Proxy votes are not permitted. Committees need a chairperson. Fundraising must be presented to the Board of Directors and approved before implemented. Amendments can be made to the By Laws but must be voted on.
